Honoring God with your life as a minister (Part 1)

Firstly, it is important to note that a minister is simply a person who serves God and His people. Whether in the order of Joshua/Elisha, Timothy, Apostle Paul or even Moses, the core of every minister is service to God and His people. Every minister is a representative of the one he works for just as the minister for Education represents the government of that territory in educational matters, so do you represent God in that calling wherewith He has called you. Whether you are called to function in the capacity of a prophet, a teacher, an evangelist, an apostle, a pastor or the ministry of helps (intercessors, ushers, protocols, sanctuary keepers, and all manner of stewardship), it is important that you understand that you have been called into a Holy calling and you have a mandate to fulfill that unique role in that appointed place. Having understood that you are a representative of Christ here on the earth, representing Him well is not negotiable but a priority. The Apostle Paul cle...

Breaking free from the limiting factors

Image
Limiting factors are those things that put a stop or a restriction to your journey, be it mental, spiritual, emotional or career growth. Those things that have the tendency to hinder your free movement or progression in an area. For a child, genes can be a limiting factor to his/her growth or certain medical conditions, for a woman trusting God for a child, certain medical conditions can be limiting factors. However, there is no greater limiting factor as the mind as everything a man would ever become begins from his mind, i.e, if you believe you can do it, and you keep believing despite the number of failures you may have had in the past, certainly, you will do it. Here is what faith does; faith takes your thoughts, aligns them with your words and actions and brings to physical manifestation that which you have faith for from the realm of the spirit. Basically, faith says, "that thing you are trusting God for is not non - existent, actually, it exists in the realm of the spirit, ...

The Restoration Power In Praise

Image
Sometime ago, the Lord showed me a vision of a building that had been left abandoned and so was losing its beauty and quality, but something happened to the building when the owner began to praise, there was rejuvenation, and the quality of the building was restored. Much more beyond the restoration as well, the building increased in size and beauty and was filled, and the Lord said to me, "this is what happens when a man becomes intentional about his praise to Me"; "I cause lost virtues, gifts, properties and glory to be restored and when they are restored, they are not restored back to the way they were but are restored and multiplied." It has been said that the most difficult thing to do in a season of dryness is to praise, but have you ever sat to wonder why it is difficult to praise in that season? It is simple, the devil seeks only to fight whatever will get the job done, if your praise is what will bring you out of that season of dryness then that praise is e...

A letter from your father

" I understand that you have so much going on right now, I understand that you are currently at that point where all hope seems lost, I understand that you have waited so long for my promise and you now feel as though I have changed my mind, I understand that everything and everyone around you seems to be turning against you. Hold on steadfastly to my word which I have spoken to you in time past! I understand that you have journeyed this far and now have nowhere else to turn to but me and that, my dear, is the beauty of your journey for out of the rock shall come forth water at my word. Listen, "they that put their trust in the Lord will never be put to shame". I revealed this to my servant David and I say it to you right now because what I say to one I say also to all. I understand that many seem to have gone ahead of you and you now feel like an abandoned project, I understand how that you feel as though you have done something wrong and that is why you have to go thro...

The Lord's Day

2 Peter 3:8-9A  " But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.   The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think..."                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ...

Ending 2023 well

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 1 Timothy 6:6 NLT The Greek word for contentment in our anchor text is autarkeia which implies a state of not being bothered with external circumstances. Many have defined contentment using different terms like satisfaction, happiness at every level and what may , however, it is very important for us to note that we truly can not define contentment biblically without emphasizing on the grace to be un-bothered. True contentment does not mean that you have everything you need/want or have trusted God for but it implies that you appreciate/thank God for all the things you have, trust Him for all the things He has promised that are yet to be made manifest and yet remain un-bothered by the external effects of not having those things yet. Dear believer, as we wrap up the year and begin to have reflections on what our 2023 has been like, it is very important for you to focus much more on the things the Lord has done for you and those...

The Believer's Journey

In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God. Acts of the Apostles 1:1‭-‬3 NLT We live in a time where there seems to be a lot of activities going on in the body and a lot of believers are indeed carried away by these many activities but yet our Lord still seeks men and it is only normal to ask and wonder. Dear believer, truth be told, sometimes we get too carried away by many activities that we forget the first thing the Father seeks is a walk with Him before the work for Him, it is good that you are faithfully serving in a department in church, it is good that you go out to win souls for the Lord, it is even much more good ...
