Ending 2023 well

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 1 Timothy 6:6 NLT The Greek word for contentment in our anchor text is autarkeia which implies a state of not being bothered with external circumstances. Many have defined contentment using different terms like satisfaction, happiness at every level and what may , however, it is very important for us to note that we truly can not define contentment biblically without emphasizing on the grace to be un-bothered. True contentment does not mean that you have everything you need/want or have trusted God for but it implies that you appreciate/thank God for all the things you have, trust Him for all the things He has promised that are yet to be made manifest and yet remain un-bothered by the external effects of not having those things yet. Dear believer, as we wrap up the year and begin to have reflections on what our 2023 has been like, it is very important for you to focus much more on the things the Lord has done for you and those...

The Believer's Journey

In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God. Acts of the Apostles 1:1‭-‬3 NLT We live in a time where there seems to be a lot of activities going on in the body and a lot of believers are indeed carried away by these many activities but yet our Lord still seeks men and it is only normal to ask and wonder. Dear believer, truth be told, sometimes we get too carried away by many activities that we forget the first thing the Father seeks is a walk with Him before the work for Him, it is good that you are faithfully serving in a department in church, it is good that you go out to win souls for the Lord, it is even much more good ...

The Lord's Mandate (The Power In Salvation)

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” Romans 10:14‭-‬15 NLT Early in 2018, I was in a bus and the Lord laid it in my heart to preach His good news and pray for the people. I was quite timid so I was a bit reluctant to but He helped my timidity and I yielded, unknown to me there was a young man seated in that bus whom that message and prayer was His saving Grace. While praying for the people, I received a word for a young man seated directly behind the driver's seat and I prayed for Him. At the point of alighting, I was led by the Spirit to have a conversation with him and share the word received with him of which I yielded and this young man shared with me how that he was tra...

The faith of the just

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4 KJV According to our anchor text, one key attribute of the righteous/just man (the one in right standing with God) is his faith/steady believing in the Lord. It is not of sons to trust in themselves as the Apostle Paul clearly tells us in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please our dear Lord as he who must come to the Lord must first believe 2 key things: 1. That He is! 2. That He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him!  Believing that He is is simply believing in His existence and His every name and word (He is God! He is unchangeable! He is eternal! He is Lord! He is I Am! He is Love! He is kind! He is faithful! He is near! He is an ever present help in times of need! He is Holy! He is never-failing! and much more). Believing that He is a Rewarder is simply believing that He has not called the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain. These two beliefs...

Revealing Christ To A Dark Generation

And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:4 NLT Sometimes we desire to do so much on the earth and make a name for ourselves but according to scriptures, we have just one assignment on the earth to which every other thing we do is tied to that one assignment and that is to become like Christ and so represent Him on the earth and reveal Him to our world. The Apostle Paul clear tells us in the preceding verses of our anchor text how that our new life is hidden with Christ in God and so we are not to think about/pursue the things of the earth but the things of Heaven, he further makes us understand in our anchor text that our glory which is a shared glory with Christ in God only comes when Christ who is our life is revealed in us on the Earth and further admonishes us in the latter verses to put to the death the sinful nature lurking within us. Dear believer, you have a new life in Christ and as you seek to grow in tha...

The Lord's Army

We are in the days where men will be completely sold out to Jesus and totally given to the call of God upon their lives! Men like Moses who have spent the most of their days in preparation for the assignment and yet do spend the most of their time on the mount, men like Joshua who are not afraid to war on the battle field and would March on carrying the Lord's mandate leading the people into the land of promise, men like Aaron who will stand as priests over the people but yet with greater consecration and will not give in to the pressure from the people. Men like Elijah who will stand against all odds and war with their prophetic weapon in total allegiance to the Lord refusing against all odds to bow to strange gods, men like David who will not be afraid to hold up the standard of their Lord before the enemy thereby defeating the enemy and delivering God's people from the oppression of the enemy. Men like Daniel who will stay with purpose even though they be the only one standi...
