Soaring on wings of Eagles

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NLT There are quite a number of things we could learn from the nature of the Eagle and some of these amazing things are: 1. Eagles possess exceptional vision. 2. Eagles are fearless. 3. Eagles are unrelenting in their pursuits (tenacious defenders). 4. Eagles soar at great heights with strength/vigor. 5. Eagles nurture their offspring. In Exodus 19:4, God likens His protection of His people to that of a mother eagle spreading her wings over her young and carrying them to safety which implies that God is the mother Eagle and we are the young carried on His wings and when God carries you beloved, you sure will soar effortlessly. Now, if God likened us to young Eagles then this implies that we do have the capacity of Eagles and so do posses those 5 attributes stated above and much more. This month of June beloved, Go...

PAYING THE PRICE FOR DESTINY FULFILMENT (PART 1)

Anchor Text Romans 8:28‭-‬30 NLT And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. The term "destiny" implies the outcome/state of a person's life in the future and to fulfill destiny implies to achieve a predetermined outcome for your life. This tells us that we can not talk about destiny fulfilment without first coming to an in-depth understanding of God's intentions, plans and purposes for our lives on a long term i.e the very reason why we were created. It is yet very important for us to note that the outcome/turnout of our lives will be the result...

Secret sin, dangers and deliverance

Anchor text for study: Proverbs 9:17 What are secret affairs/sin? Secret affairs are simply activities that a person engages in that are kept secret from the knowledge of others. However, in this context, we are talking about it in relation to sin/secret sin as any entanglement that the believer would desire so deliberately to keep hidden from the knowledge of others is certainly one that is already sin or will certainly lead to sin. Secret sin is not just dangerous to our spiritual lives but very poisonous to the soul and a killer of destiny as any activity you can conveniently hide, you can not be delivered from. It is very clear even to the blind how that sin thrives in secrecy which is why we are clearly instructed in scriptures in James 5:16 that we should confess our sins one to another so that we can be prayed for and delivered and Proverbs 28:13 clearly tells us that he who confesses his sin will obtain mercy. We will look at how you can be delivered from secret affairs/sin but...

God takes care of His own

If God is calling you, I make bold to tell you to follow the leading of that call. Sometimes, you can find yourself being worried about how the journey will be, how you will meet up with the demands and even to how you will be sustained on the journey but the same God who commanded the ravens to feed Elijah still takes care of His own and He is not planning to change with you. 1 Kings 17:2-3,5-6 [2]And the word of the Lord came to him, saying, [3]Go from here and turn east and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan. [5]So he did according to the word of the Lord; he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan. [6]And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning and bread and flesh in the evening, and he drank of the brook. The same God who also commanded the widow in Zerephath to provide for Elijah still provides for His own and He sure will not leave you to journey by yourself. 1 Kings 17:7-10 [7]After a while the brook dried up because there was n...
