Colossians 3:4 NLT Sometimes we desire to do so much on the earth and make a name for ourselves but according to scriptures, we have just one assignment on the earth to which every other thing we do is tied to that one assignment and that is to become like Christ and so represent Him on the earth and reveal Him to our world. The Apostle Paul clear tells us in the preceding verses of our anchor text how that our new life is hidden with Christ in God and so we are not to think about/pursue the things of the earth but the things of Heaven, he further makes us understand in our anchor text that our glory which is a shared glory with Christ in God only comes when Christ who is our life is revealed in us on the Earth and further admonishes us in the latter verses to put to the death the sinful nature lurking within us.
